Easy Makeup Tricks You Have Yet to Try to Ace The No-Makeup Look

makeup-tablet

You already know the basics of acing the no-makeup look: use neutral eye shadow shades, apply sheer bases, and swipe on an MLBB lipstick. This time we’re sharing more beginner-friendly tricks on how to master the fresh makeup look.

1. Massage serum on your face prior to foundation

Lightly stroking your face with a light serum can wake up the blood circulation, creating a naturally healthy color. Plus, doing so hydrates the skin, which then prevents it from getting extra oily. Oil glands produce more oil when they ‘think’ that the skin lacks moisture.

2. Stipple, not sweep

Gently patting a sponge, a stippling brush, or a dense buffing brush on the face creates a smooth, airbrush finish. The result looks more natural-looking than the sweeping technique we’re used to.

3. Stay away from powder-type products

Powders settle on fine lines and pores. Lightweight foundations, cream blushes, cream shadows, liquid highlighters, and lip and cheek tints are the perfect products for the no-makeup look. The lightweight cream and liquid texture can still let your natural skin peek through. There is an exception though: a face powder is still needed to set the face.

4. Get peachy

Pinays mostly have warm undertones, so a peachy (for fair-skinned) or coral (for morenas) blush complements the skin tone, making it appear more natural than when you use pink tones.

5. Roll the powder brush

Patrick Alcober of Make Up For Ever Philippines suggests that instead of just dusting the powder brush to set the face, roll the brush bristles upwards. This technique avoids a cakey finish you usually get from using face powders.
