Apple & Nike Gave Apple Watch a Stylish Upgrade

Love tracking your miles but hate the flashy, neon look of most fitness gear? We hear you. So did Apple and Nike. The tech and fitness giants are releasing a more subtle edition of the Apple Watch NikeLab this week—one that won’t look so out of place off the running track.

The new Apple Watch NikeLab design features a space grey aluminum casing against a “Light Bone/Black” band—so, off-white on top and black underneath. Unlike the previous options (solid black or white, or black with neon green accents), the more laid-back color pairing doesn’t scream “fitness tech.” You can track your workout progress or wear it casually—without everyone in a 10-yard radius instantly knowing about it.

All of the software and hardware features are still the same great ones you’ve come to know and love. This more neutral version of the watch just looks a bit cooler. Our editor tested the watch’s features out in December, and the Apple Watch NikeLab completely changed his feelings on running.

You can only buy this edition of the watch on Nike’s website, at NikeLab doors, and the Apple Watch Store at Isetan Shinjuku, starting April 27. No word yet on the price, but we’ll pretty sure it’ll match or exceed the $369 sticker on the past options.
